OD Professionals - Membership Group

What is OD Professionals about?

Specialists in any field need the opportunity to meet with peers and discuss professional issues with those of similar interests.

Founded by Margaret Devlin in 2001, OD Professionals provides an informal meeting space for people with an interest in OD to share ideas, concepts and experiences in a collegiate environment. 

OD Professionals membership is open to anyone who has an interest in OD - CEOs and line managers, OD managers, HR managers, learning & development managers, consultants in public and private organisations, and anyone who wants to develop their knowledge of organisation behaviour.

OD Professionals provides an informal and facilitated environment for:

• Discussions on current developments and issues in OD
• Presentations on case studies and examples of best practice
• Professional development
• Professional support and career networking.

Session topics are generated with input from members. Recent network meeting topics have included:

• The Implications of an Aging Workforce in Australia
• Emotional Intelligence
• Buddhism and Business
• Laughter in the Workplace
• The Upside of Anger
• Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi) - A Professional Development Workshop.

OD Professionals Membership Structure

There are several options to participate in OD Professionals' events:

1. Individual Membership
OD Professionals individual membership represents enormous value and includes:

• Free attendance to all of the network meetings (with refreshments provided)
• Member discounts on professional development workshops, special events and public programs
• Free subscription to the Centre for Organisation Development newsletter,
  OD Spot

• Access to the Centre for Organisation Development's corporate library
• Access to OD Professionals network
• Access to member database to circulate relevant and appropriate information e.g. OD and HR Recruitment opportunities
• McGills Business and Technical Bookstore discount card offering 10% off regular retail prices
• One free Bring a Friend guest ticket per annum - to allow you to bring a guest along to one of our regular OD Professionals meetings.

2. Corporate
OD Professionals corporate membership includes the same benefits as individual membership, plus:

• Attendance for any 4 people from within your organisation to all of the OD Professionals network meetings (with refreshments provided)
• Discount to all OD Professionals events and public programs for any member of your organisation.
  Two Bring a Friend guest tickets per annum.

3. Student
Full time students can join at a significantly discounted individual membership rate with all member benefits and services.

4. Casual
Casual attendees are welcome to attend network meetings and special events. Booking are essential.

5. E-Membership

E-members will receive regular updates on OD issues, access to the OD Professionals' network papers, access to member database to circulate relevant and appropriate information e.g. OD and HR recruitment opportunities, e-members are welcome to all meetings and special events on a pay as you go basis.

Please note: The subscription for OD Professionals runs for 12 months from the date of your payment.

Meetings are held at Cliftons Conference Centre, Level 2, 440 Collins Street, Melbourne on Wednesday evenings, from 4.30pm - 6.30pm, (pre-meeting refreshments at 4.00pm).
