Spiral Dynamics
Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi)® is a values-based approach to change management. It is used in a number of team development and organisational development programs and helps people understand how their thinking impacts on their behaviour and how their thinking changes with the different life conditions.
It provides a framework for exploring how our views of the world are developed and change over time and consequently how to manage change in a more dynamic and holistic way. SDI® offers a news perspective on:
- HOW people think about things (as opposed to “what” they think)
- WHY people make decisions in different ways
- WHY people respond to different motivators
- WHY and HOW values arise and spread
- The nature of CHANGE
Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi)® It is a very practical and adaptive framework which can be used in business, personal lives, education and even geopolitics. It was used to manage the enormous complexity of transition from Apartheid in South Africa, for numerous cultural change programs in major institutions throughout the world, workplace development, counselling and coaching projects and personal change programs.
CfOD’s managing director Margaret Devlin is one of the few Spiral Dynamics Integral accredited consultants in Australia and been working with Spiral Dynamics, since 1998. She is accredited to teach and apply the framework in organisations and has conducted workshops for over 1000 managers in government agencies and in some of the largest private companies in Australia.
“Based on decades of research, real-world applications and the latest findings of both organisational theorists and neurobiology, Spiral Dynamics lays out a very specific tool kit for managing the deepest differences in people.”
